Our wild birds are under threat from habitat loss, and we can all do simple things to help them. Plant a tree if you can, allow some of your garden to grow wild & please don't replace your lawn with artificial grass. All of these things encourage insect life, which gives the birds a readily available source of food. Even if you have no green space, bird feeders are crucial and can even be stuck to your windows, giving you a close up view of the wonders of our natural world.
Habitat loss also affects our wildlife, and you might be surprised by the amount of wildlife we already have in our gardens and green spaces. We can create wildlife corridors by leaving small holes in our garden fences, just one either side is enough. This allows small mammals such as hedgehogs, rabbits, voles and the like to travel huge distances to feed & mate without ever having to face the perils of road crossings. I'm privileged to have a foxes den at the bottom of my garden, and very little competes with the joy of watching fox cubs playing on the lawn.
I'm fortunate enough to have travelled to some amazing environments, and love exploring the huge biodiversity our world has to offer. Supporting other nations to build their wildlife tourism industries helps to protect the local wildlife (which is often denegrated for damaging crops) and provides new jobs to invigorate the economy. Additionally, zoos and safari parks do some amazing conservation work, so I make no apologies for some of these photos being taken in those environments.
Let's face it, don't we all love a sunset or a beautiful view?
Ok, so I can't see into the future, less still photograph it! But Crystal Ball Photography gives an interesting new perspective on the world. I know that it raises interest when I'm out taking these pictures, so it will certainly create a talking point when hung on your walls.
Whether your pet has fur, feathers, scales or an exo-skeleton; walks on 2, 4, 6 or 8 legs, flys or slithers, I'm offering a 2-hour photoshoot with your pets.
Of course, it's not just portraits. Family groups, action shots, or anything else you can come up with. The only limits are your imagination and how cooperative your pets are!
All images for sale as Framed Prints, Mounted Prints, Greetings Cards, Key Rings and Fridge Magnets.
